Call for papers vol. 17 no 1 & no 2/ 2026

 

The Editorial Board of Incursions into the Imaginary invites you to submit articles for publication in vol. 17/ 2026. 

The journal Incursions into the Imaginary (the Speculum Center for Research on the Imaginary, 1 Decembrie 1918 University, Alba Iulia) publishes studies in comparative literature, particularly those grounded in the theory of the imaginary—an essential, ever-evolving discipline that facilitates the examination of anthropological, social, and cultural phenomena (in all their aspects), etc. While the discipline’s application to literary issues is predominant, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspects (philosophy, philosophy of culture, theory of mentalities, sociology, history, psychology, communication theory, history of religions, etc.) are also strongly promoted. The journal accepts articles that focus on interdisciplinarity as a means of addressing the mechanisms of phenomena of great interest in the postmodern world (such as those in the areas of social behavior, the collective mind, media communication, or cultural creativity), with research grounded in the science of the imaginary enjoying international recognition.

 

The manuscripts must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The evaluation of the papers will be done with respect to the subject’s relevance for the research field, the originality of ideas, methodology and structural organization and clarity.

•    Notification of manuscript acceptance/rejection: November 1, 2026;
